Cancer Awarerness Ribbons Free Download

Today is World Cancer Day.

I remember losing my first friend to cancer when I was in my twenties. One of the guys in the office where I worked was diagnosed with Lymphoma right after we celebrated his 30th birthday and his son was born. He was gone in less than a year. It was the most heartbreaking thing I had ever experienced.

Cancer has since taken far too many of my friends and I know too many people fighting cancer right now.

So today is a day to rally, take action, show support of those fighting cancer in your life and join the efforts to support research and efforts to find a cure for this awful disease.

World Cancer Day is an international day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. World Cancer Day was founded by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to support the goals of the World Cancer Declaration, written in 2008.
